Quick Registration
Anyone can do a re-registration with rapid renewal provided your current registration has not expired. You'll need your proof of insurance and current mileage. Your previous registration is helpful but is not necessary.
Vehicle Registration
Register your ATV or Snowmobile for the season. Registrations are valid from July 1st - June 30th each year. You will need your VIN number and a printer for your temporary registration.
Maine is replacing the General Issue Chickadee Plate
Here is how you can request to keep your current plate number.
Beginning on June 3, 2024, registrants who would like to keep their current chickadee plate numbers may reserve their plate number for a $25 one-time fee. This includes people with vanity, low digit, and National Guard (PC class code) plates or registrants who simply like their current plate number.
Registrants may reserve their plate(s)
- Online through the stand-alone reservation portal at Maine.gov online reserve my plate.
- Through a reservation process as part of the Rapid Renewal website.
- At the Town Office.
- By mailing the Plate Reservation Application to 29 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333 with "Attention Registrations".
