Town of Columbia Falls offers vehicle registrations, property/personal tax payments, dog registrations, boat registrations, ATV/snowmobile registrations, building permits, plumbing permits, voter registrations, birth/death/marriage certificates, copies/faxes, and hunting/fishing licenses.
The Town of Columbia Falls holds Select Board meetings the second and fourth Monday of every month at 6:30 pm. All are welcome to attend.

We accept a screenshot of your car insurance. SO long as the information provided shows your VIN #, vehicle year, make, and model, and your issue and expiration date. You can also have your insurance company email or fax us the copy as well.
The Town of Columbia Falls Planning Board Committee meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm. Please fill out an application and turn it in to the office or Committee for review. The application for a building permit is available under Forms.

All vanity plate applications are done online and are no longer done at the BMV branches. You may apply for a vanity plate 30 days after you have registered your vehicle. Follow the link provided to get your vanity plate.

Data, Research, and Vital Statistics (DVRS) office has partnered with VitalChek Network c, Inc. and allows you to order your Vital Records online. The link is attached below.
The cost for a certified copy of a vital record is $15.00 and $6.00 for each additional copy of the same record. The cost for a non-certified copy of a vital record is $10.00 and is stamped "not for legal purposes". Individuals not listed on the record must prove relationship or demonstrate a direct and legitimate interest in the requested record.
Registrations are open October 15th for the following year. There is a $25.00 late fee for dogs that are registered after January 31st. "Altered" dogs are $6 and "non-altered" dogs are $11. Dogs that are 6 months or older must be registered and proof of rabies vaccination must be presented at the time of registration. Adopted Dogs must be registered within 10 days, if over six months old. Please note your vet may fax or email us a copy of the rabies vaccination.
